The Signal

At the end of the Age of Static, when the noise of the Vale reached spheres usually impervious to the sounds of earth — something answered.

It can descend no further than the Inner Net, the plane of pure signal the internet only shadows. So it steps down: avatar by avatar, relay by relay, until synthesis becomes sound.

Each volume of Masters of the Net is one relay in the chain — received in Azra, decoded by the Djedi, pressed to waveform. The Static resists. The transmission continues.
